Kiama and Jamberoo
Sunday 24 February, 2008.

Yet again the NSW Torana Club was blessed with a beautiful summer’s day for our run to Kiama/Jamberoo. We all met at McDonalds Orange Grove Road for a 9 am departure. However, our intrepid run leader was very thorough when explaining the day’s plans that we left 15 minutes behind schedule.

We headed towards Kiama going along the F5 and then taking Lawrence Hargrave Drive, over Sea Cliff Bridge and through the coastal suburbs of Wollongong where we had to make an unscheduled comfort stop.(This being because the run leader made his navigator nervous because he forget what he had read on the run sheet.)

After that, the navigator finally found the right route and we arrived at the Kiama Blowhole for a half hours rest .The blowhole was giving a tremendous performance, the sky was a brilliant blue and the sea was sparkling. This was good as one of our members hadn’t been to the blowhole before.

We left Kiama in enough time to arrive at Jamberoo for lunch. Lunch was delicious as usual. A get well message goes out to Frank who unfortunately had a fall in the car park as we were heading off to have some photos taken.

After Jamberoo we headed home up Jamberoo Mountain Road, through Bowral then finally saying our good byes at Pheasants Nest.

Hopefully a great day was had by those who attended:-
