Dubbo (AGM)
Friday/Saturday/Sunday 28-30 March, 2008


The NSW Torana Club will be meeting at McDonalds McGraths Hill on Friday, 28 March 2008 at 9:00am for a 9:45am departure for a weekend away at Dubbo incorporating our AGM. The basic itinerary is as follows:-

We will drive along the Bells Line of Road to Lithgow and will then drive onto Bathurst where we will have lunch at the Shanahans Family Hotel followed by a couple of laps of Mount Panorama. We will then head off on the Mitchell Highway through Orange and Wellington and onto Dubbo.

Accommodation, which has secure parking available for our Torries, has been booked at the Matilda Motor Inn (see below).

Saturday, 29 March 2008 will see us collected in the morning for a visit to the Western Plains Zoo for the day and delivered back to our accommodation in the afternoon for a rest and tidy up prior to our AGM.

Sunday, 30 March 2008 will see the NSW Torana Club head for home via the Golden and Castlereagh Highways through Dunedoo and Mudgee stopping at Lithgow McDonalds for lunch. We will then head back to our dispersal point at McDonalds McGraths Hill for final goodbyes.

Accommodation and Zoo Package

  • Two nights accommodation at the Matilda Motor Inn per person twin or multiple share including dinners and breakfasts in the motel restaurant.
  • Adult zoo entry.
  • Transport to and from the zoo = $225.00 per person.

  • Two nights accommodation at the Matilda Motor Inn per person single room (if you want a room to yourself) including dinners and breakfasts in
    the motel restaurant.
  • Adult zoo entry.
  • Transport to and from the zoo = $309.00 per person.

To secure your accommodation requirements, please contact the Matilda Motor Inn direct on 02 6882 3944, identify yourself as a NSW Torana Club member and make your booking. You are not required to leave a deposit or credit card details with the motel. All payments are to be made direct to the Club. Please advise the motel of any special dietary requirements or other needs when making your booking. The above costs covers your expenses for the three day weekend apart from your three lunches and fuel. The following modes of transport are available for hire at the zoo on the day (first in, best dressed):

BIKE & ELECTRIC CART HIRE
(Standard hire four hours, electric carts three hours).

  • Push Bikes $15.00.
  • Bike 'n Tow $22.00.
  • Bike 'n Caboose $26.00.

  • Child seat for push bike $3.00 each.
  • Baskets $1.50 each.
  • Stroller $12.00.

  • Electric Carts (four or six seater) $65.00

All hire equipment requires a credit card imprint or driver's licence as a security deposit.

To confirm your participation on this great weekend, you can pay by one the following methods:

  • Direct deposit to the Club's bank account (Acct No: 128535846, BSB: 633-000).
  • Cheque or money order made payable to the NSW Torana Club and posted to PO Box 5502, Windsor South NSW 2756.
  • Direct to our Treasurer, Scott Davidson, on a Club run, or
  • Installments.
